Our Dentists

Dr. Michael Smith

Dr. Michael Smith was born and raised in York, NE. He attended Creighton University in Omaha where he received a bachelor’s degree in Biology. Dr. Smith attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry, graduating in 1996.

Dr. Nichol Smith

Dr. Nichol Wilson Smith was born and raised in Sioux Falls. She attended The University of South Dakota and received a bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Smith completed her DDS degree at The University of Nebraska Medical College of Dentistry in Lincoln, NE, in 1996.

Upon completion of dental school, Drs. Michael and Nichol Smith joined the United States Air Force. After a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska, Drs. Smith transferred to Altus, OK for two years of duty (clinical practice). In 1999 they moved to Sioux Falls and opened Dental Care Associates. Drs. Michael and Nichol have three children and enjoy attending various sporting events in their free time.

Dr. Chelsea Kuipers

Dr. Chelsea Kuipers was born and raised in Sioux Falls. Upon graduating from Lincoln High School, she attended Augustana College where she majored in Biology and Spanish. Dr. Kuipers completed her DDS degree at The University of Creighton School of Dentistry. In her free time, Dr. Kuipers enjoys spending time with her husband, Reggie, and her two dogs, Tillie and Sampson. She also enjoys running, going to the lake, and watching the Minnesota Vikings.

All three doctors are active in the community and also in various professional organizations to include: the American Dental Association, Southeastern District Dental Society, Siouxland Dental & Implant Study Club and the Seattle Study Club.
